Super Bowl Rest Day

Yes, today is super bowl day and it also happens to be a rest day for me.  I know how important it is for the body to rest when we workout or just from the weeks wear and tear.  However, the older I get it seems; I need more rest than normal.  I also know too much rest is not good for you. That is why even on my rest days I am still a little busy.

Sundays are a day where I take it easy a little more than any other rest day because it’s Sunday.  At this stage in the game of life and working out, I do whatever I can to avoid injury to any muscle groups.  In Saturday’s workout I really went hard, especially with cardio. 

Losing weight is definitely harder than gaining and really takes a toll on your body and mental psyche when you lose and gain.  One minute you are excited you have lost weight and the next minute you are frustrated you have gained weight.  The struggle is real.  However, there is always good news at the end of the tunnel. 

That good news fuels you to continue to stay positive and that is the end results.  To envision how you are going to look and feel is great.  Not to mention all the people who you will have the opportunity to inspire by your accomplishments.
