Walking to Better Health

I have to tell you, today was one of those days when I really didn’t want to stop what I was doing and workout. Truth be told, my lazy ways almost got in the way. However, when I look in the mirror and look down at my stomach I realized the truth hurts and the pain of being overweight is real.

There are so many other things I could be doing than sweating my brains out, I thought to myself. I must be real and let the truth guide me to better health. Let’s face it, it is not like I can get someone to hop on the treadmill and put in the work for me and I reap the rewards of making thousands of steps to good health and a stronger heart. I have to put in the work if I want to garner those wonderful weight-loss rewards.

There is a great deal of work you have to do if you want to lose weight. It’s not just exercise and eat well. It is the mental conditioning and mindset that losing weight and becoming healthy is predicated on.

Mindset and Conditioning

If my habits affect the future me in how I feel, look, act, and how much money I will earn, or how much value I bring to society. Is it not advantageous to build good habits to assure the outcome that will provide the future me with the success good habits can bring?

I know life sometimes get in the way. Believe me I know! Even though situations in life may derail our efforts in our goals, I believe we must never lose sight of we are fighting for. This is where a great mindset comes into play. If we condition our minds to continue in a direction and belief in a thing so strongly. No matter how hard we are pushed off the path we’re on, our minds and conditioning finds ways to surmount the adversities and obstacles that stand in our way.

In my life I have fallen short of many things. On the other side of that coin I have been successful at a few things as too. Even though I have fallen short, failed at, not hit the mark on what I was shooting for. I will not stop! I will never give in! I will NEVER quit!!! What about you?
