I have a question to ask. Do you have joy in your life? If so, what gives you joy? It’s a simple question right? One of the definitions in the dictionary are “the emotion of great delight or happiness caused by something exceptionally good or satisfying; keen pleasure; elation:“
Joy is something you cannot go to Walmart or purchase any where else, because it is something you cannot buy. However, joy can be found in little things in life. but I am talking about the type of joy that passes all understanding. The kind of joy you feel deep down in your soul. Unshakable joy.
I read in ancient writings; “count it all joy when ye fall into divers tempatations;” Divers is an indefinite number, more than one. Reading that we know in life we will have an indefinite number of temptations, trials, and tribulations. When they arrive we are to count it all joy going through it all.
How To Count It All Joy
So how can we count it all joy going through trials and tribulations? In life, I am sure you have experience this; things happen that you or I cannot comprehend, embrace or perceive. Right? Well, count it all joy is to know and understand first, however, painful it may be. It will not last. We don’t have to go through it alone. Even when we think we are but truly are not. Passes all understanding is true. There are things we will never understand.
Back to count it all joy while going through trials and tribulations. In the book of Proverbs it reads; trust in the Lord with all thy heart and lean not unto our understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths. (Proverb 3:5-6.)
If we are to trust God with all thy heart, how will we have joy in our tribulations? When Mary gave birth to her first born son. She gave birth to her baby in a manger. An angel of the Lord came and shine bright around them and they became scared. The angel said to Mary and Joseph; “fear not; behold, I bring you good tidings of great joy, which sall be to all people.” The great joy is the savior Jesus Christ. Count it all joy because Jesus will be with you through it all. Lean on him because he is Joy, he is the rock, he is the cornerstone.
When you feel you can’t go any further, when all appears to be to much to handle, count it all joy because Jesus said; Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls.” “For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.” (Mathew 11: 29-30.) Put Jesus (Joy) in everything you do.
