I believe we all have a limen for being in an uncomfortable state. Am I right? Do you know what your threshold of uncomfortability is? Being in an uncomfortable state can be a good thing if it is due to growth. In order to experience real grow and go beyond your acustom limits requires being uncomfortable. When you start a new job and learning the ropes of your employment there is always that uncomfortable feeling you have when learning something new. Some people even have a small amount of anxiety but it quickly dissipates as you get acclimated into your new roll.
If you alway stay in your comfort zone you are not stretching and learn to your full potential. However, as we learn our new roll we realize we are no longer feeling uncomfortable and that’s becuase we have learned our new roll and adapted where the new becomes the norm.
Proverbs 18:15
An intelligent heart acquires knowledge, and the ear of the wise seeks knowledge.
Proverbs 1:7
The fear of the Lord is the beginning of knowledge; fools despise wisdom and instruction.
Proverbs 9:9
Give instruction to a wise man, and he will be still wiser; teach a righteous man, and he will increase in learning.
Some people have that uncomfortable feeling mixed in with fear compounding the issue of uncomfortability. When fear is in the mixed it complicates the learning process somewhat. This depends on the level of fear that is injected to the equation. We all know fear can paralyze you to a degree, and can make learning something quickly longer than what it would normally take if fear was not acted on.
I believe we are here to constantly learn. Some people reside in a comfortable state and are content with not learning anything new. However, to learn is to grow, and to grow is to enhance one’s capability to do more in life, thereby becoming more, and contributing more to society.
If you don’t enjoy that uncomfortable feeling when you are learning something new. I believe we can adapted to making that uncomfortable feeling the normal getting use to learning all the time. It takes practice to become good at something, right?
Why practice at being uncomfortable? That requires you to constantly grow, stretch, and learn all the time. Not just academics, but in the balance of life. Spiritually, academically, financailly, Joy, pain, etc.
There are many people who have unbalanced intelligence. What do I mean by that? They are intelligent in an area of life of topic and completely intelligently deficient in other areas of life, or lacking simple common sense.
We are not perfect. That is why life is a complete learning process, and for those who opted out after a period time by deciding they had enough of the learning process, resided to just simply be satistfied with what they have learned up to that point in their life. Thereby suffering the loss of all that God intended for them to experience in this amazing journey of life.
